Masters Race – Regulations

Only the German version is legally binding. This English translation is provided for your convenience. The complete Masters regulations with updated points allocation for the main race and the sprint race.

Class: open – all motorcycles permitted · Number of laps: 10 laps · Number of starters: limited

1. Scope

These regulations apply to all participants in the “Masters” race series at the FröschlRacing trackdays, but do not replace the mandatory race briefing. They lay down only the basic rules for the procedure, the classification and conduct in this race class. Attendance at the race briefing remains mandatory. By registering, every rider accepts the following provisions as binding.

2. Race registration

Registration for the races must be made in writing at the race office at every race event. There is no automatic race registration. The number of starters per race is limited. Grid places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all places on the list are taken, it is no longer possible to take part in the race. To take part in a race, all riders must meet the qualifying requirements set out in section 3 Qualifying procedure and starting grid. If a rider does not meet them, they will automatically be transferred to the ‘Rookie’ class. Registrations are made at the race office (list: Masters). Entries must always be made with name and race number. If the name has been entered illegibly, race control will, in case of doubt, always go by the race number. If this in turn is not legible, no entry will be made. Registrations must be made by 11:00 on the respective race day. Late registrations will be rejected without exception. If a rider registers in the wrong race class and wishes to switch to the Masters race, this will not be taken into account. The rider is personally responsible for registering correctly. A rider joins the cup classification once they have taken part in the first race of this class.

3. Qualifying procedure and starting grid

The starting grid is based on the lap times from qualifying. Qualifying times can only be set in the time slots marked ‘Q’ in the schedule. If times are equal, the second-fastest lap time set by the riders concerned counts. In the event of rain or special conditions, race control may make adjustments to the qualifying sessions. Corresponding calls are made exclusively by public address announcement. Only lap times recorded by the timekeeper via the official transponders count as qualifying times. Lap times from third-party transponders are not taken into account. Qualifying requirement: only riders who set a lap time below the following limit on the respective race track during qualifying are admitted: Pannoniaring < 02:12:000 Slovakiaring < 02:25:000 Brno < 02:25:000 (guide value)

Rijeka < 01:45:000

All lap times are given in the format [mm:ss,f]. The starting grid is published on the notice board in front of the race office after the race briefing, but no later than 13:50. Starting from the pit lane without being listed on the starting grid is prohibited in principle. In individual cases, an exception to this rule may be made after consultation with and approval by race control. A violation may lead to exclusion from further events.

4. Race procedure

• Type of start: warm-up lap + standing start. The start procedure is explained by race control during the rider briefing. • Race length: 10 laps • Flags and signals: Green – track clear, or end of danger and of the ban on overtaking, Yellow – danger / no overtaking, Red – race stopped / no overtaking, Yellow-red – the track is slippery / obstacles on the track, Blue – a faster rider is approaching, Black – disqualification.

Calls for each race are made at 10 minutes / 5 minutes and immediately after the pit lane opens. From the opening of the pit lane, riders have 1 minute to go out onto the track for the formation lap. After 1 minute the pit lane is closed. After the formation lap, the rider must take up position in the box marked with their grid position. If a rider does not go out onto the track in time, they are excluded from further participation in the race (no start from the pit lane and no joining the grid after the warm-up lap permitted). If the race track nevertheless permits entry without authorisation (for example because the race track does not close the pit lane on time), a penalty is imposed in accordance with the penalty catalogue (see section 5 Penalty categories, Pit-Lane Infringement). The end of the race is indicated by the black-and-white chequered flag. If the race is stopped early by a red flag (red-flag incident), the following applies:

1. Remaining race distance ≤ 50% of the total race distance: the race is classified after the last fully completed lap. 2. Remaining race distance > 50% of the total race distance: the race is restarted. Minimum time between stoppage and restart: 15 minutes. When the race is restarted, the standard start procedure applies. Starting grid according to the race order 1 lap before the race was stopped. The new starting grid is published on the notice board in front of the race office. After the start procedure, the remaining race distance is completed.

The rider receives points for the overall classification if they properly complete the full or officially shortened race distance. A race is deemed to have been properly completed by the rider if they cross the finish line of the race track under the black-and-white chequered flag. Lapped riders are deemed to have finished regularly once they have crossed the finish line under the black-and-white chequered flag. If the rider ends the race early, this automatically results in a DNF. A finish can only be achieved by crossing the official finish line on the race track (start/finish straight). Finishing the race in the pit lane is not permitted. If a rider enters the pit lane on the last lap and crosses the timing line there, this does not count as a valid finish; the rider is classified as DNF. Transponder signals triggered in the pit lane are disregarded for the race classification.

Special case wet race: if the track is wet or it is raining, the race is held as a wet race. The rider is informed at the race briefing whether a race is declared a wet race. If a rain shower only begins after the race briefing, the wet race is signalled to the riders by a board at the pit exit and by public address announcement. If there is no wet-race board at the pit exit, the race is automatically a dry race. There is no change to the start procedure. In a wet race, the race is not stopped if rain begins during the race. Under wet-race conditions on a damp track, riders are permitted to start on any tyres, including slick tyres. The track is deemed to be damp as long as, after a preceding rain shower, no rain falls until at least 1 h before the pit lane opens. In individual cases, however, race control always decides. When it is raining, however, taking part on slick tyres is prohibited. A breach of this rule results in disqualification. (see section 5 Penalty categories) Should an unforeseen rain shower occur during a dry race, the race will be stopped. All riders who crossed the finish line one lap before the stoppage are classified according to their current position in the race. In this case, the race will not be restarted.

5. Penalties and protests

Any sanctions against riders are imposed after the end of the race, before the final race results are published, on the basis of the penalty categories. The data in the timing app (cf. Speed-Hive app) are not yet officially valid final results. The timing app contains only uncorrected race results, before any changes resulting from the penalties concerned. Any protests that may affect the race result must be lodged orally by the rider concerned with race control at the race office (registration) no later than 15 minutes after the end of the race. All protests lodged by riders are reviewed by race control using video recordings, where identifiable, on the basis of which any penalty is imposed. Both private off-board and onboard cameras and the official video surveillance of the race track may be used as evidence. For protests without the rider’s own evidence, information on the corner, lap, race number etc. is important so that the incident can be checked via video surveillance. Purely oral evidence cannot be taken into account. Penalties already imposed by race control (jump start, overtaking under yellow etc.) cannot be protested, as these have already been checked and confirmed by video recording.

Penalty categories Penalties are imposed after the end of the race according to the type and severity of the offence:

• A – Serious offences: dangerous riding, disregarding red or black flags, deliberate collision, starting from the wrong grid position, slick tyres in the rain or similar. Penalty: disqualification or points deduction for the overall classification (10–25 pts). • B – Moderate offences: overtaking under yellow, jump start, pit-lane infringement or similar. Penalty: time penalty (120 sec.) • C – Minor offences: unsporting behaviour, failure to follow instructions, disregarding blue flags or similar. Penalty: warning or time penalty (up to 60 sec.).

Protests regarding the allocation of points Protests concerning incorrectly entered points in the overall classification or similar may be lodged exclusively in writing to office@froeschlracing.com up to 2 weeks after publication of the current points standings. Publication takes place in accordance with the regulations (see section 6 “Publication”).

6. Championship classification

Points allocation

In the main race the best 15 riders receive points, in the sprint race the best 9. Only classified riders who finish the race regularly are scored. DNF/DNS/DNQ automatically result in 0 points.

The dropped result may be a retirement (DNF), a non-start (DNS) or the race with the fewest points. A DSQ cannot be dropped. The dropped result is taken into account after the last round has been completed.

Tie on points In the event of a tie, the following decide:

a) number of wins, b) number of second places, c) best individual placing, d) drawing of lots (if there is still a tie)

in descending order (a→d)

Publication The winners are first announced during the event at the prize-giving ceremony. All race results and points tables are published on the cup page of the FröschlRacing website within 3 days of the end of the event. Objections to the allocation of points may be lodged in accordance with section 5.

7. Event prizes & prize money

After each race, a prize-giving ceremony takes place according to the schedule. The winner of the day and the riders in places 2 to 5 inclusive receive a trophy. If a rider does not attend the prize-giving ceremony, the trophy remains with the organiser. Trophies will not be sent on; however, the rider may nominate a representative to collect it. Points for the overall classification can only be collected in the Masters races of the respective season and are not transferable from one rider to another. For the 2026 season, the prize money offered for winning the overall classification at the end of the season is:

Placing · Prize 1st · Trophy + € 1,800 2nd · Trophy + € 1,400 3rd · Trophy + € 1,000 4th · Trophy + € 700 5th · Trophy + € 300 6th – 7th · Trophy + prizes in kind 8th – 10th · Trophy

8. Miscellaneous

• The organiser reserves the right to amend the regulations; amendments will be published in writing by e-mail before the event and on the website www.froeschlracing.com under a new version number. • Participation is at the rider’s own risk. Each rider is responsible for the technical condition of their motorcycle.

9. Final provisions

By entering the event, every rider confirms that they have read and understood the regulations. Race control is authorised to decide on special cases in the interests of fairness. These regulations come into force upon publication and replace all previous versions.
